Brampton Tech Talk on Wearable Technology at the MakerSpace Feb. 19

The first Brampton Tech Talk of the year is happening this week on wearable technology in healthcare. The talk, on Feb. 19, is free of charge and will be held at the MakerSpace Creative Hub in the Four Corners library.

This tech talk is the first in a series of lectures presented by the city’s HACE (Heritage, Arts, Culture & Entertainment) initiative from Brampton Economic Development. Last year, HACE hosted a series on technology that helps create a creative economy, with a goal to expose the community in Brampton. After much positive response, they’re continuing the series in 2015 by inviting a guest expert in a varying fields of technology to share with the community.

This week’s talk will feature guest speaker, Dr. Jayson Parker, from the University Of Toronto. Parker is a lecturer in medical biotechnology in the department of Biology at U of T Mississauga. The talk will run from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. You can get your ticket here
