Owned and operated by Chef Tony Yamine, this small mom-and-pop shop is an absolute gem in the city of Brampton. Located at Bovaird and Mountainash, Mosaic Mediterranean Grill offers a range of cuisine from all over the mediterranean.

The two person kitchen make everything from scratch. From shish tawook and souvlaki, to penne rose a la vodka, philly cheesesteaks and premium wraps. The meats are cooked over an open flame, after being marinated in herbs and spices for 24 hours. Greek and Turkish entrees are served with your choice of salad, baked rice and potatoes or fries. Pastas are served with garlic toast and pennete instead of traditional penne. Also, fresh seafood is featured on the weekends.

While the home-style plating and large portion sizes are a feast for the eyes, the well balanced flavours and friendly kitchen staff will keep you coming back.

The service is slow during peak hours, but it’s worth the wait. Call ahead for hassle-free takeout or dine in for a romantic dinner with what feels like a personal chef.

Keep in mind: Mosaic has two main chefs, one constantly scores an 8, while Chef Tony brings it up to a 9. If you’re hungry and looking for flavourful, ethnic food, this is the spot.
