The Brampton A’s get set to take on the Windsor Express, as they host their second annual Caribbean night this Saturday, February 21st at the Powerade Centre. The event will feature a live pan performance by Earl St. Pierre of Afro Pan, and a special presentation of the national anthem by multi Juno nominated vocalist, Melanie Durant. Attendees will also have the opportunity to meet actor Dwain Murphy, who plays Claiborne in the BET mini series, The Book of Negroes. Dwain will also be one of three artists being honoured during a presentation by the International Achievement Awards. The awards will be presented to Juno award winning reggae artist, Exco Levi, and Director X, a Brampton native who has previously worked with high-profile artists like Justin Bieber and Beyoncé.
